If you're so inclined, a short stroll down the hill will get you to a seasonal tiki bar with live music on Friday nights (until 10pm) and a fabulous sunset view. Next to the tiki bar you'll find The Shoppe, a brand-new ice cream shop and general store, boasting locally made items, ice cream and snacks. For a full menu establishment, just cross the street to find Kallisto, a local favorite. Down the way a couple miles away is the famous Nantahala Outdoor Center with its riverside food, drinks and seating. From booking to checking out, our stay was near perfect. The house was easy to get to, we'll maintained, clean, and parking was enough for my big truck and trailer. I pulled a 20-ft trailer loaded with motorcycles. The hill was a touch steep but, completely manageable with a half ton truck. Everyone was happy with the beds, bathrooms worked well and had nice towels. The hot tub was perfect to have a drink and relax after a long day of riding. Btw... A lot of the area's best motorcycle rides are very close by. The bar down the hill (maybe 200ft) had 25¢ wings Tuesday and good drink prices, along with karaoke Thursday evening. We will be hitting Jackie back up to stay here again in the fall. We look forward to it. Jody J
