The cabin was perfect for our family of 5. Clean, comfy beds, great space, kitchen well stocked, grill, hot tub, wood fireplace and so much more. It is perfect location for exploring the mountain towns! We visited the Polar Express and the national park, hikes and thoroughly enjoyed our family getaway. Host was attentive and amazing. Easy access off highway. Honestly there are no complaints at all. Don’t think twice just book it and enjoy! We had a blast!

The communication from start to finish was amazing! Jackie was quick to reply with any questions I had. We had 8 people and 1 dog and we all truly enjoyed the cabin and the location of the cabin! I have nothing but positive things to say about our entire experience!

This property was amazing. Quiet and very accommodating. Perfect location. We grilled out and went in the hot tub. WiFi was working great. We were close to the Nantahala forest and were able to dispose of our mother’s ashes in a beautiful location. Thank you.

It was so cozy and away from the hustle of traffic but yet close enough where you could get to everything. The kiddos loved the hot tub and so did my old bones after a long walk. Everything was clean, and easy to access and use. There wasnt anything I don't think we didn't like about staying here honestly.

Great location. Super clean and stocked with everything we could possibly need. The hostess was exceptional. By far the best cabin we have ever booked. We will definitely return. Not a thing!

As of July 2025, Mountain Forager provided all the comforts of a home in the suburbs. We checked in Mon and checked out Fri. Cold powerful AC that cooled upstairs and downstairs? YES! We kept the AC at 72 and the system had no issues cooling the house quickly and no power outages. High Speed Internet? The internet was satellite based, reliable and fast enough to stream Netflix, etc. The speed was 17.6 Mbps download and 1.4 Mbps upload. Not really fast enough to do video/zoom calls for work purposes but can easily do other work activities that don't require fast upload speeds. No problem doing TMo wifi calling. TMo is spotty by the way so be prepared but if you're on vacation, not being always connected may be a good thing. Best Kitchen and fully stocked with new pots and plans and utensils. All kitchen appliances looked new and was clean when we arrived. All beds were comfy and the sheets were clean. All carpets upstairs was clean and my kiddos didn't hesitate sitting on the bedroom floor. The washer & dryer, roku TVs in all bedrooms and living room, propane grill and hot tub were clean well maintained, and worked perfectly. Noise level from Tommy's Restaurant was not terribly loud and we didn't hear the outside noise when we closed the door and windows. I only heard them Wed and Thurs night. I think they are closed Mon and Tues. Whoever did a review complaining about noise was exaggerated in my opinion. The house is kinda situated on a bottom of a hill so the backyard was well kept grass yard going up an incline. Whoever said there's no backyard is not true. My kiddos enjoyed the backyard. The overall, cabin was very clean and no roaches or other pests in the house. Highly recommended and hope to go back again and do the zip line activities. Finally, the host Jackie was super friendly and super responsive over booking.com messaging. Excellent communication 😁 Nothing my family didn't like. We wanted to stay longer but the cabin was already booked. 😉
